Legal billing and invoicing built for Indian practices
Billing goes wrong when the work and the invoice live in different places. QubitPilot captures time and expenses against the matter as the work happens, so raising the invoice is a review step rather than an archaeology project.
Time captured where the work happens
Log time against the matter you are already inside. Because entries carry the matter and the client with them, the month assembles itself instead of being reconstructed from a diary.
- Time entries attached to matters and clients
- Expenses and disbursements recorded against the same matter
- Unbilled work visible before the invoice run, not after
Unbilled work stays visible, so the gap between what you did and what you invoiced does not quietly become the firm's margin.
GST-aware invoicing
Indian professional billing runs on rules the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) administers, not generic invoicing. QubitPilot handles GST on invoices, verifies client GSTINs live against GSTN registry data, and produces invoices you can hand to a client or an auditor.
- GST handling on invoice line items
- Client GSTIN verified live against GSTN registry data, not just typed in
- Invoice status tracked from draft through to paid
Invoice numbering, line items, taxes and totals are structured data, not a template someone edits by hand each month.

Know what is owed
An invoice raised is not revenue. QubitPilot tracks invoice status so outstanding amounts are a number you can look at rather than a feeling you have.
Frequently asked questions
- Does QubitPilot handle GST on professional fees?
- Yes. Invoices carry GST line handling and client GSTINs are verified live against GSTN registry data, not just stored as typed text. Whether GST applies to a given engagement, and at what rate, remains your determination — QubitPilot records and applies it, it does not advise on it.
- What is a GSTIN?
- GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) is the 15-character registration number the Goods and Services Tax Network issues to every GST-registered business in India. QubitPilot verifies each client's GSTIN against live GSTN registry data — pulling back the registered legal name and trade name automatically — and carries it through to invoices.
- Can I bill on retainer as well as hourly?
- Yes. Invoices are built from line items, so hourly time, fixed fees, retainers and disbursements can all appear on the same invoice.
- Can clients pay online?
- Subscription billing runs through Razorpay. Client invoicing produces the invoice document and tracks its status; how your client settles it is up to your existing arrangement.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. New workspaces get 15 days free on any plan with full access. You authorise auto-debit up front, and the plan renews after the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Which plan do I need?
- Every plan includes the AI assistant, matters, clients, documents, dates and billing. WhatsApp, browser automations, bring-your-own storage and extra workspaces start at Growth; the full comparison is on the pricing page, and pricing is per firm, not per seat.
- Does QubitPilot give legal or tax advice?
- No. It is practice-management software. The assistant drafts and answers from your own documents, cites the passage it read, says so when the answer is not in your files, and nothing it produces changes your workspace without your approval. Professional judgement stays with you.
- Where is my data stored?
- QubitPilot is hosted on servers in Mumbai, India. From the Growth plan up you can connect your own Cloudflare R2 or Amazon S3 bucket, and new documents are written there. Access is by role, down to the action, and every change and every AI action is in the audit log.
Try it on your own matters
Every plan includes a 15-day free trial with full access. Set up a workspace, add a client and a matter, and see how it fits before you decide.
