Frequently asked questions
- Who can see a document I upload?
- Access follows the roles you configure. A role can be scoped so a team member sees the matters they work on without seeing the rest of the workspace.
- What happens to a Canvas share link?
- A share link opens a read view of that one document for anyone who has it. Share links are excluded from search engines, but treat the link itself as the credential — anyone you send it to can pass it on.
- How much storage do I get?
- Storage is per plan and rises with the tier. Current limits are listed on the pricing page. On Growth and above you can also connect your own bucket, in which case the plan limit no longer applies.
- Can we keep files in our own bucket?
- Yes. On Growth and above you can connect your own Cloudflare R2 or Amazon S3 bucket from Settings → Storage. New files are written there; nothing leaves your bucket, and the plan's storage limit no longer applies.
- What is a Vakalatnama?
- A Vakalatnama is the document by which a client formally authorises an advocate to act and appear on their behalf in a matter. It is a document like any other in QubitPilot — filed against the matter, versioned, and covered by the same access rules.
- What is a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)?
- A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is the government-recognised electronic credential used to sign filings and documents in India where a physical signature is not practical, commonly required for e-filing and company-law compliance. QubitPilot does not issue DSCs; it stores and organises the documents you sign with one.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. New workspaces get 15 days free on any plan with full access. You authorise auto-debit up front, and the plan renews after the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Which plan do I need?
- Every plan includes the AI assistant, matters, clients, documents, dates and billing. WhatsApp, browser automations, bring-your-own storage and extra workspaces start at Growth; the full comparison is on the pricing page, and pricing is per firm, not per seat.
- Does QubitPilot give legal or tax advice?
- No. It is practice-management software. The assistant drafts and answers from your own documents, cites the passage it read, says so when the answer is not in your files, and nothing it produces changes your workspace without your approval. Professional judgement stays with you.
- Where is my data stored?
- QubitPilot is hosted on servers in Mumbai, India. From the Growth plan up you can connect your own Cloudflare R2 or Amazon S3 bucket, and new documents are written there. Access is by role, down to the action, and every change and every AI action is in the audit log.
