Team management built around how a chamber or CA firm is actually staffed
A junior and a partner should not see the same thing. QubitPilot's role-based access runs down to the module and the action, so who can read, edit, approve or delete is a setting, not a hope.
Roles built for this profession, not generic seats
Most practice software ships two roles: admin and everyone else. QubitPilot ships presets for how Indian practices are actually staffed — Senior Lawyer, Associate Lawyer, CA Partner, CA Staff, Accountant, Manager, Intern, Viewer — each with a sensible starting permission set you can still edit.
- Role presets for lawyers, CA staff, accountants, managers and interns
- Per-module, per-action permissions — not one blanket access level
- Owner and Admin protected as system roles; every other role is yours to edit
Permissions are granular per module and per action: read, create, update, delete, manage, export, import, assign and approve are set independently, so an associate can update a matter without being able to delete it, and CA staff can manage billing without touching case strategy.
Invite by email or phone, scoped from the first login
Add a team member with an email or an Indian mobile number and assign the role at the same time, so there is no window where a new hire has more access than intended.
- Invitations by email or phone number
- Role assigned at invite time, not after first login
- Expiring, rotatable invite links
Invite links expire and can be rotated, so a stale invite is not a standing door into the workspace.
An audit log that answers 'who changed what'
Every consequential change — a role edit, a permission change, a status update, a record deleted — is written to a workspace-wide activity log with the module, the action and what changed.
- Activity log across every module, not just team changes
- Sensitive fields masked in the audit trail
- Useful for internal accountability and for answering a client's question
That is the difference between telling a client or a regulator 'we believe so' and showing them the record.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I create a custom role, or only use the presets?
- Both. The presets — Senior Lawyer, Associate Lawyer, CA Partner, CA Staff, Accountant, Manager, Intern, Viewer and others — are a starting point you can rename and re-permission. Only the Owner and Admin system roles are protected from deletion.
- How granular are the permissions?
- Down to the module and the action. A role's access to clients, cases, billing, documents, calendar and every other module is set independently across read, create, update, delete, manage, export, import, assign and approve.
- How many team members can I add?
- Per plan, rising with the tier — Business lifts the user limit entirely. Current numbers are on the pricing page.
- Can I see what a team member changed, after the fact?
- Yes. The workspace-wide activity log records the change, who made it and when, across every module — not only team and role edits.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. New workspaces get 15 days free on any plan with full access. You authorise auto-debit up front, and the plan renews after the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Which plan do I need?
- Every plan includes the AI assistant, matters, clients, documents, dates and billing. WhatsApp, browser automations, bring-your-own storage and extra workspaces start at Growth; the full comparison is on the pricing page, and pricing is per firm, not per seat.
- Does QubitPilot give legal or tax advice?
- No. It is practice-management software. The assistant drafts and answers from your own documents, cites the passage it read, says so when the answer is not in your files, and nothing it produces changes your workspace without your approval. Professional judgement stays with you.
- Where is my data stored?
- QubitPilot is hosted on servers in Mumbai, India. From the Growth plan up you can connect your own Cloudflare R2 or Amazon S3 bucket, and new documents are written there. Access is by role, down to the action, and every change and every AI action is in the audit log.
Try it on your own matters
Every plan includes a 15-day free trial with full access. Set up a workspace, add a client and a matter, and see how it fits before you decide.
